Can you explain children’s designer clothing sizing? I am confused about a 4T vs 6X. What do the T and X mean?

Sizing for girls goes:2T, 3T, 4T, 4, 5, 6, 6x

While sizing for boys usually goes:2T, 3T, 4T, 4, 5, 6, 6x

Sizing for girls goes:2T, 3T, 4T, 4, 5, 6, 6x

While sizing for boys usually goes: 2T, 3T, 4T, 4, 5, 6, 6x

Size 4 will be slightly longer/larger but usually the waist is the same if not a bit slimmer than a 4T. "T" denotes toddler and most people think of toddlers as still wearing diapers/pull-ups which make clothes fit differently so they are cut a bit differently.

6x vs 6 - good question. Basically it is like a size "6 1/2". The difference between a 6 and 6x is the 6x is usually about 1/2" to 1" longer in inseams, length of pant, skirt, sleeve etc.

Many Sizing Questions can be answered by using our General Size Chart located at http://www.sandboxcouture.com/sizecharts.html

Of course certain manufactures have slightly unique sizing and we are always happy top answer specific questions at info@sandboxcouture.com
